Falmouth Fire-EMS Department
Falmouth Fire-EMS responds to over 1600 emergencies each year. We are a combination Fire-EMS department made up of three fulltime staff, ninety-five call firefighters and emergency medical technicians, and twelve part-time paramedics. The Fire-EMS Headquarters is located at Central Fire Station at 8 Bucknam Road and our business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. During the daytime hours we are staffed with the Fire Chief, an Assistant Chief, and an Office Administrator who is also a Firefighter/EMT. In addition, the department employs twelve per diem paramedics who staff an ambulance at Central Fire Station seven days a week from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. We rely heavily on our dedicated staff of call firefighters and EMT’s to respond to emergencies and staff our apparatus.
Falmouth Fire-EMS provides emergency service from four stations. Each station is commanded by a Captain, and each apparatus has an assigned Lieutenant and a crew. Our two ambulances combine to run over 1,000 medical calls each year.
