Bonny Rodden is a retired journalist from San Francisco. She has lived on the East Coast since 1977 when she graduated from Stanford University.
After covering local, state and national government for 12 years at news organizations including The Associated Press and The Philadelphia Daily News, Bonny moved to Falmouth in 1994. She worked for environmental organizations and was the adviser to the student newspaper at the University of Southern Maine.
In Falmouth, she chaired the award-winning Recycling Committee and headed The Friends of the Flyer, an organization that advocates for Metro’s bus route in Falmouth. She has organized the Coastal Cleanup of Mackworth Island for more than 12 years.
She was elected to the Town Council in 2007.
Bonny is married to Irwin Gratz, a news producer at Maine Public Radio, and has one son, who attends school in Falmouth.
