Will Armitage is a native Mainer who grew up in Cape Elizabeth. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics & Management from Beloit College in Wisconsin and a Master's Degree in Public Policy & Management from the Edmund S. Muskie School of Public Service at USM.
Will has over 20 years of banking and public sector financing and management experience and is the Executive Director of the Biddeford-Saco Area Economic Development Corporation in Saco. In addition, he: is a graduate of Leadership Maine; has conducted research and analysis on tax increment financing and the regional and Maine economy; and, is certified and taught economic development financing seminars across the country.
Will has lived in Falmouth since 1995. He is married to Jahnna, and his son Jacob and daughter Gwen attend Falmouth schools. Prior to his election to the Council in 2006, Will served as co-chair of the Ad-hoc Workforce Housing Committee. Will also serves as: a director of the Falmouth Youth Lacrosse Association; President of the Economic Development Council of Maine; Treasurer of the York County Community College Foundation; a member of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston; New England Community Development Advisory Council; and, volunteers on various programs and activities with his children.
